the "grissie" bread, the "tirà" and the typical bread-sticks of Piedmont.
We took home some "tongues",those extremely thin and tasty bread crusts, of immense fragrance.
There was a portentous dinner to welcome them. An unending applause.
And it was no mere impression, for goodness sake, those tongues of bread were really delicious!"
