The best is handmade

The careful choice of top quality Italian ingredients, from controlled supply chains, is the starting point for achieving quality products. The list of ingredients is short: flour, water, oil (or lard), salt and yeast. No preservatives or other additives.

The use of selected flour blends ensures that the dough rises perfectly without losing its elasticity. The blending of different flours, selected in collaboration with trusted millers, gives Fongo products a unique flavour according to the blend, whether it is type 0 flour, type 00 flour, wholewheat or corn flour. A final word on oil: Mario Fongo uses only extra virgin olive oil that is entirely produced in Italy and is not filtered.​

Our production processes and quality standards
​are BRC and ISF certified.

New production facility

Since 2023 the company has a new production facility, which allowed to optimize production. The automation of some steps such as packaging, has made it possible to devote more resources to artisanal work, which remains one of the founding values of Mario Fongo products, along with the selection of raw materials. Technological innovation and great craftsmanship experience, to bring an increasingly good product to the tables.

Amongst the first artisans to develop high-end grissini and rubatà for gourmet shops, Mario Fongo has now been designated the leader in the field thanks to our quality, consistency, and distribution. Extra virgin olive oil, Italian-grown wheat flour, natural yeast, salt, and barley malt combine to make the dough, which is then hand-stretched one by one to thin, 30 cm long sticks, with a classic homemade look.
